Box was on the open library shelf, but as it contains correspondence with William Wright Smith, decision was made in 2017 to place it in the Archives

box containing progress reports of the Scottish Seaweed Research Association based at the Institute of Seaweed Research in Musselburgh. There are also Newsletters, and correspondence with William Wright Smith, all arranged chronologically.

A modern reprint has been added to the box in 2017: "The Scottish Seaweed Research Association" by F.N. Woodward, Institute of Seaweed Research, Musselburgh, reprinted from the Journal of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom, vol.29 No.3, 1951.

The papers are arranged chronologically, regardless of material type (correspondence, therefore has been filed throughout the sequence)
