Album is attributed to Nigel Douglas McDouall of Logan and includes:
East Africa Rift Valley: January-June 1909; 77 photographic prints, 33 watercolours and 5 pencil studies through the territories of the Uganda Protectorate (Uganda), Congo Free State (Democratic Republic of the Congo) and the North Western corner of German East Africa (Rwanda)
Angola: May-October 1904, 29 watercolours, 4 views from the Africa West Coast steamer with the remainder being landscapes, vegetation and portraits of local people in the south west highland area.
Mediteranean views - 15 unlabelled watercolour views of the Mediterranean, probably Spain, including coastline views, highland scenes, a village scene and 2 views of roads through arid landscapes featuring local people.

Copy of a watercolour painting of the view of the Edinburgh skyline from the garden / lawn of Inverleith House, sketched and painted by Isaac Bayley 'Bay' Balfour, Regius Keeper Isaac Bayley Balfour's son in aroun 1912. The copy was made for Peronelle Windeyer, Isaac Bayley Balfour's great-granddaughter after the original had been cleaned and conserved. The original is in possession of her brother. The annotation on the back of the original has also been copied - it was made by Agnes Balfour, Bay's mother and says 'The view from the foot of the garden at Inverleith House- sketched and painted by Bay Balfour around 1912'. Reprint was taken from the Transactions and Proceedings of the Botanical Society of Edinburgh, volume XXVII, part 2, is titled 'Mosses of West Lothian (V.C. 84)' by J.C. Adam and signed 'with the Author's Compliments'. It was read at the Society meeting held on the 8th February 1917, shortly after Adam joined the Machine Gun Corp.
