• Printed copy of Henslow's "Syllabus of Botanical Lectures"; edited and printed by Charles Babington, 22 April 1862. • References in printed papers dated 1828, 1829 & 1830 filed under “Cambridge, University of” • Letter dated 22nd Sep.1860, to Dr. Thos. Handwritten letter on 3 sides describing “new” method of propagation- “striking on the live plant”. By cutting 4/5 through the plant stalk and binding with damp moss a new shoot grows strongly and quickly. Anderson made successful experiments with fuchsia, heliotrope, jasmine, rose, etc. showing that this method can be used both in the greenhouse and in the open in situ. He grants Patrick Neill permission to publish them in the Transactions of the Caledonian Horticultural Society.
• One folder containing a 27 page manuscript paper titled Contribution to Natural History: Re the roots of the Bromeliaceé. Detailed examination of root behaviour in these and allied species.
• Report on the Tenth International Mycology/ Plant Pathology Excursion, held in Aberdeen between August 13th and 20th, 1964. Record of site visits over the period, discusses plant diseases, list of fungi found and their locations.

• Booklet, “Laws of The Harveian Society of Edinburgh; instituted 12th April 1782”, with Chronological Lists of Presidents (including D. Rutherford (1787 & 1818), J.H. Balfour (1852) and R. Graham (1825)) and Members since 1782 with Rules of Membership.
• 1 short handwritten narrative regarding the foundation of Hamburg Botanic Garden by Prof. C. Lehmann between 1820 and 1822. There is no author's name or date but it is an expert description of the contents of the Hamburg Botanic Garden.
