- 'Recent Progress in Botanical Exploration in China' by H.H. Hu, Reprinted from the Journal of the R.H.S. vol.LXIII, Part 8, 1938, signed to W.W. Smith by Hu, has Smith's stamp and a Christmas postcard sent to Smith as an insert.
