Many of the page protectors have titles and/or annotations (typically collection/reference number), either written on directly in pen/marker or have a label. Some sheets are encased in a plastic bag, there are some empty sheets.

•Notebook containing an article for ‘Theosophist’ Aug – Nov 1917, titled “Francis Bacon and the Cipher Story”

•Box containing a photocopy of his diary from 1962 (the original copy is with his family), transcript of his, diary from 1952 when he was an apprentice at Mount Stewart Gardens, Co. Down, and correspondence (1973-1985)
•Box containing correspondence and recollections of Henry Howden (Harry) Bryce, former gardener at RBGE, collection dating 1913-1990
•Box containing folder of photos (negatives and contact prints), possibly New Guinea in 1962? (includes two photos of Canon Norman Cruttwell) Photos are mainly of local people, events, villages, mountains and scenery.

Seven samples of wood displayed at the International Forestry Exhibition held in Edinburgh in 1884 - all are labelled with "Sierra Leone, Edinburgh Forestry Exhibition, 1884" - additional markings are as follows:

  The Exhibition Catalogue indicates that the Government of Sierra Leone had a stand at the exhibition where they displayed "Specimens of the Woods of the Colony, native, polished 1865, redone 1884" - it is assumed that these may have been part of this display.

Minimal; ephemera, 3 documents including a letter from Andrew F. Kedslie to Isaac Bayley Balfour with information from his aunt, Mrs Agnes Arnand, Williamson's great grand-daughter & a copy of Williamson's Testament Dative dated 1780 - all documents appear to have been cut from one of Isaac Bayley Balfour's scrapbooks.
