Paper on 'Experiments on the Analysis of Heavy Inflammable Air' (1789) published in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London in 1780 - (right click, open link in new tab) https://archive.org/details/jstor-106830 - there is a copy of the paper in the packet alongside the handwritten manuscript, possibly written by Austin himself. Manuscript is incomplete, 8 pages along, finishing on page 56 of the article. There is also a copy of Austin's entry in the Dictionary of National Biography in the packet.
GB 235/ASH/1/1-16: 1 box of 16 mounted photographs showing the felling of the Ash tree in 1992; and GB 235 ASH/2: part of one of the tree limbs sliced into sections by Tim Stead to show the damage done internally by fungus; tree limb sections can be arranged to form an artistic sculpture.

GB 235 ARM/1 - Lecture on 'Stimulation of Plant Growth' given at 3pm on the 5th March 1912 to the Royal Horticultural Society, Vincent Square, Westminster, this is a typescript from shorthand notes taken by Mr. C.E. Barnett of Grecian Chambers, Devereux Court, W.C. London. These are notes of a lecture on how plants are stimulated to grow, with practical demonstrations. GB 235 ARM/2 - Lecture on 'Enzymes in Relation to Plant Growth' given on the 3rd June 1921 at King's College, Cambridge. Consists of two lectures on the same subject with demonstrations, slides and blackboard formulae, covering enzymes, their definitions and how they are believed to interact to promote plant growth.
GB 235 ANT/1 - photo album including photographs of John Anthony and his family, Edinburgh views and photos relating to World War One, including the Edinburgh University Officers Training Corps at Peebles in 1915 showing Cadets Brown, Purves, Mills, Anthony, Smith, Hatton and Wallinck; Anthony with the Royal Welch Fusiliers in Oswestry and Llangollen (Anthony, Evans, Edwards, Gavin, Richards and Mitford) and Capt J Anthony M.C. and Capt J.H. Dick M.C. on the Somme in 1916. Handwritten letter on 3 sides describing “new” method of propagation- “striking on the live plant”. By cutting 4/5 through the plant stalk and binding with damp moss a new shoot grows strongly and quickly. Anderson made successful experiments with fuchsia, heliotrope, jasmine, rose, etc. showing that this method can be used both in the greenhouse and in the open in situ. He grants Patrick Neill permission to publish them in the Transactions of the Caledonian Horticultural Society.
