• paper entitled 'Patrick Blair, Surgeon-Apothecary, Dundee, Scotland: A Memoir' by Alex. P. Stevenson, read to the Dundee Symposium, 9th February 1907 and to the Botanical Society of Edinburgh, 11th April 1907 - reprint was owned by Isaac Bayley Balfour and has a letter from Stevenson glued into the front cover. It refers to the Blair elephant.

Copy of a watercolour painting of the view of the Edinburgh skyline from the garden / lawn of Inverleith House, sketched and painted by Isaac Bayley 'Bay' Balfour, Regius Keeper Isaac Bayley Balfour's son in aroun 1912. The copy was made for Peronelle Windeyer, Isaac Bayley Balfour's great-granddaughter after the original had been cleaned and conserved. The original is in possession of her brother. The annotation on the back of the original has also been copied - it was made by Agnes Balfour, Bay's mother and says 'The view from the foot of the garden at Inverleith House- sketched and painted by Bay Balfour around 1912'. Popular History of Palms by B. Seebold, presented to Robert Lewis Harrow in 1893
One book, "Popular History of Palms" by Berthold Seeman, 1856; stamped W.H. Smith & Son Library, 186 Strand, with following inscription: "Presented to Mr R.L. Harrow by his associates in the Fernery Department, Kew, on the occasion of his leaving that establishment for Edinburgh. Royal Gardens, Kew, Jany 28 1893". Book is also stamped ex libris Anthony Huxley.
Book is in a box alongside, documentation, correspondence relating to Richard Hancock's original query to RBGE in 2002 and his bequest in 2016-7.
