Sino British Expedition to Cangshang (SBEC) (1981)Folder containing a series of six lectures on ‘Soil’ at Imperial College of Science and Technology, London. Starting on 3rd February 1920 and ending on the 9th of March 1920. (A series of 6 lectures of which the second is missing) No lectures had been given on this subject in UK since 1896. Therefore timely to bring up to date the science of soil physics.
Keen, Sir Bernard Augustus1 folder with the handwritten title "Skeleton Leaves Madeira 1854" - inside are 6 pages on blue folded paper containing skeletonised leaves inserted into cuts in the paper. Leaves include magnolia, ivy, oak, coral or erythrina crista-galli, sword coral, Portugal rose tree, common custard apple, lemon and citron. Who compiled it and wher it came from is currently unknown.
Also in the box are three loose leaves, found in the archives store, origin unknown.
