Letterpress by Alexander Lowson, pp.39-52, 178-9 and Young's portrait of George Don [Jnr]. Date of photography unknown - 1960s-1980s? perhaps earlier?; photographer unknown. Photographs were found among the Don reprint collection, January 2014.

Material consists of correspondence, field notes, photographs and maps from his plant collecting expeditions in Sikkim, Bhutan and Punjab between 1913 and 1916, and family / genealogical information.

Seed Donation Ledger which dates from 1810 to 1817 and documents donations of plants coded B-TE from around Britain and the World. There is a chronological index at the back.
The ledger appears to have been started by new Head Gardener William McNab and begins with an entry described as 'The following seeds were found in a Table Drawer in the Garden House when I came here, part of them I think have been rec'd from Mr. Donn of Cambridge. W. M'N'.
