Holloway, Reverend John Ernest"On the Physiology of some Phaeophyceae"; a 14 page monograph (12 ms pages), written by Thomas Hick B.A., B.Sc., Demonstrator and Assistant Lecturer in Botany, Owen's College, Manchester. This is Hick's account of the experiments he carried out to study the physiology of Phaeophyceae [Brown Algae]. Possibly published in the Journal of Botany or Annals of Botany in 1885.
