Contents, dated 1913 on, include handwritten copies or drafts of articles for The Garden, newspaper and journal cuttings (many from The Garden, also Gardener’s Chronicle, Popular Gardening, Amateur Gardening, etc), prints of Primulas, sometimes with annotations attributing the photograph to Amy Cameron; cuttings from The Times of India Illustrated Weekly (1923,1926) including photographs of Major-General R.C. MacWatt, (John MacWatt’s younger brother); cuttings from various publications regarding Chelsea 1927 and the associated Royal visit; and an official copy of a War Office letter 22 April 1918, confirming the appointment of Mr J. MacWatt as Medical Officer and temporary Captain in the Berwickshire Volunteer Regiment.
