        CHEN Feng-Hwai (1900-1993)
        Educated at Southeastern University; joined Fan Memorial Institute of Botany in 1931
        1929-1931 – conducted three botanical excursions to Northeast Jilin
        CHEN was a visiting scholar at RBGE, 1934-1936 working on Primula under the guidance of W.W. Smith.
        He was the founder of Lushan, Nanjing, Wuhan and the South China Botanical Gardens, becoming the 1st Director of the latter three.
