After graduating with a degree in Botany from the University of Edinburgh in 1951, Andrew John Charles Grierson (1929-1990) was appointed Scientific Officer at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Robert Kaye Greville was an English botanist, mycologist and bryologist. He was also an excellent illustrator.
